SYNOPSIS: THE TERRIBLE OLD MAN chronicles the downfall of three greedy aspiring thieves: Miles, Ronny and Billy. The ill-fated trio is on the run after a botched home-invasion ends in the death of the homeowner. As the group’s self-appointed ringleader, it is Miles’s intention to lay low aboard his uncle’s boat. While Ronny and Billy continue to harbour some professional dislike for each other, the trio stops in the coastal town of Kingsport for a bit of breakfast. After spotting an old man who pays for his coffee with a gold coin, they follow him home to try to get what they think they deserve.

The film was inspired by the short story of the same title written in 1920 by renowned New England author Howard Phillips Lovecraft. It has received wide acclaim at festivals across North America and Europe.
